Abstract Plus Download Page

Program used by non-registry facilities for reporting cancers to ISCR.
(Before you begin - if you are not comfortable doing installations or if you are not allowed, please contact the appropriate IT/IS support staff at your facility.)

This program is to be used only by those facilities reporting to the ISCR and cannot be redistributed because it contains licensed AJCC electronic content.

Updating IL Abstract Plus from Version 4 to Version 5 and first time installation.

This is an automated process and depending on your computer security clearance you may need to contact your information technology staff to complete.

Download the following files.

customizations. zip

NOTE: The old user information and password will be retained with this update. If there are already cases

in your database the program will convert those as you open version 5.

Installing Abstract Plus for the first time.

1. Download the above program AbstractPlus_50_05312022_setup.zip and customizations.zip to the PC, open the AbstractPlus_50_05312022_setup. zip file and click on the setup file or MSI file within and follow the prompts for installation.

2. After install is complete, go to C:\Regplus\AbstractPlus\ and locate AbstractPlus.ImportCustomizations.exe, open the program and follow the prompts to browse to the customizations.zip file to add the Illinois customizations. The password for this is Admin and when complete open Abstract Plus.

3. Set up your account using your information, last name, first name, user ID and your initials used for abstracting. Click Add, then click Close.

4. Enter your user ID and first password of Welcome1 (caps on W and a one at the end). Follow the remaining prompts to set up your own password.

NOTE: There are FOUR data entry displays in Abstract Plus. One display is for cases diagnosed prior to 2004 and one for cases diagnosed 2004 through 2015 greater and one for 2016-2017 and 2018-2022 The default display is for 2018-2022 and greater. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND AS YOU START NEW CASES. This change option is at the very top of the form. If this is not changed the wrong data items/fields will be displayed.
