Use this system to obtain information about the reasons for hospitalizations in Illinois. Summaries of hospital care for asthma, diabetes, cancers, hypertension, cardiac care and many other conditions treated in Illinois hospitals are available. For a complete list of selectable data elements and descriptions, see Data Element Descriptions. For a different perspective, make your choice from the complete major diagnostic categories (MDC), diagnosis related groups (DRG), or surgical selection list. Please refer to the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) Clinical Classifications Software page for more information about the diagnostic and surgical categories used in this query system.
