Data Updates

Indicator 3.12 Percent Births to Teens, year 2002: we have corrected a data error in which we inadvertently included data from other age groups, causing the numbers and rates to be much higher than what they should be. Thanks to Maureen Sollars of McLean County Health Department for notifying us of this error;

Indicator 1.11 Medicaid Enrollees: on May 21, we updated data for years 1999, 2000, and 2001. The problem with the previous data was that we inadvertently included the data for "Hispanic" into the "Other" category, causing the numbers for "All Age Groups", "Under 21 Years", and "Other" to be incorrect. Thanks to Angie Bailey of Jackson County Health Department for notifying us of this problem.

System Updates

In the past few months, some users have experienced difficulties accessing the data system. This was caused by a programming glitch that had made the system unavailable from time to time. We have identified and fixed the problems related to this and the system is more dependable and efficient now.

If you have used any reports for the above-mentioned indicators, please run them again. We regret for any inconvenience these may have caused.
